Lord Besho (And the process of his creation)

"What do you see, oh weary traveler?

This cut of the forest has its own guardian. Lord Besho, as those few who know this mysterious individual refer to him sits on his throne of stone, passing judgement on those who dare tread on this sacred soil. Both a seasoned warrior whose eyes have gazed upon rivers of blood spilled, and an experienced leader with a strong moral code, Besho's heavy baritone voice will bombard your ears with his harsh verdict. Should you dare pass without his consent, only a single stern warning will bridge you from a brutal fight." - An exert from a forgotten folklore.

Looking back at it now, I am somewhat saddened that all the visual detail I sank so many hours in got somewhat lost. Especially the Toad man himself lost some of that saturated colors

Funny enough, he was supposed to be sitting on throne made out of a log, but the way I shaded its greyscale version + the fact that I merged the background layers a tad bit prematurely solidified the stone throne's place in the composition.

There is still an ocean of knowledge to be explored, yet I am barely knee deep into the bay overlooking the said ocean
